Our clients approached us with the hope of modernizing their compact 1950’s cape, nestled in a historic neighborhood, to suit their family’s needs without losing it’s charm and quaint proportions. With a few simple strategies, we improved on the existing interior layout, captured ‘new’ space and brought in additional daylight. Fresh and complimentary materials, along with refinished floors, were introduced throughout the project to coexist with the original architectural detailing. The end result is a familiar and timeless update to a classic home that celebrates it’s origins while embracing the present and future.
