Skybox is the two part renovation of a 1920's townhouse in Brooklyn. New York. The project required that an existing nursery expand in footprint to accommodate a growing child. Thus, displacing the home office that was relocated to an existing balcony overlooking a light-filled garden. The transformation presented opportunities to exploit existing sources of natural light. Therefore, we treated both parts of the project kile light boxes, with skylights playing pivotal roles in orienting the user and preserving the quality of space.
