Working along side Philip Wu, the design of this time residence embraced an undeveloped property with unique site and drainage considerations. The solution is an unobtrusive building that works symbiotically within the terrain, allowing both drainage and landscape to flow through it while framing interior and exterior courtyards for outdoor living.

The house and program were narrated by the client's acute daily rituals as well as their affinity for elements in the existing landscape. Cross Laminated Timber was chosen for its structural potential and efficiency, and a palette of traditional materials were reinterpreted for a contemporary feel.
